The Lab

Welcome to our lab! This is where we post various projects developed as experiments for interest's sake, to test and push the boundaries of various technologies that we use.

This animation utilizes a technique called "camera mapping" or "camera projection". It involved taking a 2D image and manipulating it to produce a 3D scene that could be animated. The process involved separating the image into several layers in Photoshop, and isolating different objects. Once these textures were created, they were wrapped or "stickied" onto the 3D geometry to produce the simulation you see here. This piece involved 6 objects - the glacier, 4 mountains, and the sky.
